Aggrotech is a relatively recent label for the sub-genre of harsh electronic music that fuses elements of EBM, industrial, noise, trance and/or techno music. Features of aggrotech include screamed or distorted vocals, aggressive or militant lyrics and a fast, danceable beat. Notable acts include Suicide Commando, :wumpscut:, Hocico, Combichrist, Agonoize, Amduscia, Grendel, Nachtmahr, Straftanz, Aesthetic Perfection, Funker Vogt; a sizeable number began producing decades before the term was coined .
