Deftones - Lhabia

Somewhere outside there are tricks and evil holler downstairs
While I drive I want to watch you
Buttercup coming through the fog
Dying of boredom i'll try it all
Sixteen olive skin bound by a voice
I don't want to go but I want it well
At least you fucking care dying of
Boredom i'll try it all i'll be faint like a
Crook it looks and feels great but
Look at what it's doing to you but
That's ok look at how it feels.

“Lhabia” is the second track from Deftones' sophomore effort "Around the Fur". This song dwells on the topic of drugs. The narrator is in a relationship with a young woman and the two frequently use drugs. Initially the narrator is content with the drugs, but by the bridge of the song, he begins to feel concern for the both of them. They want to quit the drug use and know they should but they struggle with letting go of the feeling it gives them. By the outro neither of them have been able to quit and they are continuing to enable each other. Chino Moreno sings the verses in a gritted-like whisper, with words so distorted they did not appear on the official lyric booklet.
