EUSA is a solo piano album by Yann Tiersen, released in 2016. The album is a deeply personal and minimalist work, inspired by the landscapes of Ushant (Eusa in Breton), the small island off the coast of Brittany where Tiersen lives.
Unlike his previous works, which often feature layered instrumentation, EUSA strips everything down to pure contemporary classical solo piano compositions. Each piece is named after a specific location on the island, making the album a sonic map of Tiersen’s home. Standout tracks include Pern, Porz Goret, and Penn ar Lann. .
