Shinsei Kamattechan (神聖かまってちゃん) is a Japanese alternative rock/noise pop band from Chiba. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Noko (lead vocal, guitar, keyboard), Mono (bandleader, keyboard, guitar, tambourine) and Misako (drums).
Their music is a strange blend of pop melodies and piano with dark lyrics and punk sensibilities. Most of their songs are digitally altered by frontman Noko, who also uses heavy delay and pitch-shifting effects on their vocals.
They are well known for broadcasting their activity, including uncompromising live shows where on-stage breakages have included not only guitars but band members' bones as well, on live-steaming video sites such as stickam, peercast, and Japanese popular video sharing website Nico Nico Douga. The member of the band, Noko is particularly notorious for their eccentric broadcasting methods.
