iann dior - Obvious (Feat. Travis Barker)
iann dior & Travis Barker - Obvious PART I
[Verse]
Now can you hear me?
When I call your name, it's kind of scary
It's like I'm calling the dead
And late at night when I'm thinking 'bout it
I could choose this, too hard to believe
[Bridge]
I could be a coward and run away
This time I don't wanna, I'm in your face
I pull up on you, I'm at your door
You better answer, I know you're home
[Interlude]
Wait, hold up, hold up
Play that shit you were playing again
iann dior & Travis Barker - Obvious PART II
[Verse]
Can't be told what to do, don't even give it a try
I'm not the type to lose, what was it in your eye?
When I walk in the room, know you feeling my presence
She don't like how I move, leaving you was a blessing
[Chorus]
Didn't want to bring it up, but I feel it, it's obvious
It's hard to be around someone that never learned to love themself
Already learned my lesson, girl, you know that we've been here before
We've both been here before, don't get too comfortable
[Post-Chorus]
Da-da-da-da-da-da, da-da, da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da, da-da, da-da-da-da
[Bridge]
Never sit 'round, got a lot to do
Never text back 'cause I'm on the move, yeah
Like a brick when it hits your face
Heartbreak, get a little taste, yeah
[Pre-Chorus]
Got me feeling wavy
Don't fuck up the vibe tonight
Think your friends don't like me
When they hear me, they'll slide tonight
[Outro]
Never sit 'round, got a lot to do
(Da-da-da-da-da-da, da-da, da-da)
Never text back 'cause I'm on the move, yeah
Like a brick when it hits your face
(Da-da-da-da-da-da, da-da, da-da-da-da)
Heartbreak, you're a little taste, yeah
“obvious” serves as one of the most diverse and anticipated tracks of iann’s sophomore album. The song features a beat switch, an idea which iann has never really experimented with before. This high-energy track finds iann singing about his typical relationship troubles. The song was first previewed through iann’s Instagram story on July 22, 2020, shortly following the release of iann’s project “I’m Gone.” The track’s title was later confirmed through an Instagram story by Travis Barker on September 2, 2020. Not much was heard of the song until the fall of 2021 when iann began previewing it again in multiple Instagram lives. The song was then played in full during the livestream or Travis Barker’s Halloween event, House of Horrors.
