"I Don't Want to Talk" is the second track from Wallows' second studio album "Tell Me That It's Over", released on March 25, 2022. During a surprise show on August 6, 2021, Wallows performed an unreleased song for their fans. The track is suspected to be on the band’s second album that they had been alluding to throughout the year. After fans worked out the song’s title, “I Don’t Want To Talk”, lead vocalist Dylan Minnette retweeted his own censored tweet from June 3, 2021, revealing that he was referring to the new track. After two snippets were released in previous weeks, on September 23, 2021, the song’s release date was announced to be on September 30, 2021 at 12 PM EST. It was shared on social media along with a presave link.
