Marina - Man's World

[Verse 1]
Cheeks are rosy like a Boucher cherub
I'm a strawberry soda, raise my lashes to heaven
Stars in my hair running like a waterfall
Clouds in the whites of our eyes, we saw it all
Burnt me at the stake, you thought I was a witch
Centuries ago, now you just call me a bitch

[Chorus]
Mother Nature's dying
Nobody's keeping score
I don't wanna live in a man's world anymore
I don't wanna live in a man's world anymore
Anymore

[Verse 2]
Marilyn's bungalow, it's number seven
In the pink palace where men made her legend
Owned by a sheik who killed thousands of gay men
I guess that's why he bought the campest hotel in LA then

[Chorus]
Mother Nature's dying
Nobody's keeping score
I don't wanna live in a man's world anymore
I don't wanna live in a man's world anymore

"Man's World" is the lead single of Marina's upcoming fifth album, Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land. The track describes the inequality faced by women and LGBTQ+ people, with reference to climate change and eco-feminism. Marina teased the "Man's World" music video with a visual on Spotify Canvas on her popular songs. On November 13th, a fan on Reddit received a postcard with the lyrics on the back and the lead single’s artwork on the front.
