"I’m That Chick” is the sixth track on Mariah Carey’s eleventh studio album "E=MC²" (2008). The song was inspired by the 70s soul and samples Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall. You may realize that when Mariah sings ‘There ain’t no rules, it’s up to you / Can party all night, through the night, all right’. She also compares herself to Tupac, Biggie, ice cream flavor, the lottery and a blunt – cause she’s that chick and you can have all that in her. It’s a ‘care-free feel’ song. Despite not being released as a single, “I’m That Chick” peaked at number 82 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and has become a fan favorite serving as a disco candy prelude to a wild night out with the girls and a reminder of M’s reign. Mariah performed the song live at the 2008 Fashion Rocks ceremony, opening the song with a spontaneous a cappella of the track’s chorus to positive critical response.
