Have a Nice Life - A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticut

[Outro]
Sometimes I just-
I just-
I don't know
Sometimes I just-
I just-
I don't know
Sometimes I just-
I just-
I don't know
Sometimes I just-
I just-
I don't know

Have a Nice Life’s eight minute long opener to what is arguably their Magnum Opus–"Deathconsciousness". “A Quick One” can be either used in an alcoholic or sexual context, whereas “the Eternal Worm” is obviously a reference to death–likely caused by the fact that worms are commonly perceived as decomposers (when in fact they are dentrivores) in many ecosystems. The association between worms and death is also popularly referenced to in Edgar Allen Poe’s The Conqueror Worm- Out—out are the lights—out all! And, over each quivering form, The curtain, a funeral pall, Comes down with the rush of a storm, While the angels, all pallid and wan, Uprising, unveiling, affirm That the play is the tragedy, “Man,” And its hero, the Conqueror Worm." In a podcast for the Legrand Society, Tim remarks he got the title of the song from The Who’s "A Quick One".
