Coin - I Think I Met You In A Dream

[Intro]
Good morning, user

[Verse 1]
I'm really gonna blow your mind
Baby looking over time
I gotta get a dead man off my chest
One touch and I know your kiss
Brown sugar when I'm on your lips
Half a mind to take, take it slow
But when you know, you know
[Chorus]
I think I met you in a dream
The way you move is like a distant memory
I think I met you in a dream
It feels so real to me

[Verse 2]
Another place, another town
Here we are in the back of my mind
Somewhere in the dead of night
I swear that I’ve seen those eyes
Wake up when the days get tipsy
Good Lord, I don't know what hit me
Half a mind to take, take it slow
But how do you know?

[Bridge]
Turn off the TV
Turn off the lights
Turn on the ceiling fan
And close your eyes, yeah
Ah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

[Chorus]
I think I met you in a dream (In a dream, in a dream now darling)
The way you move is like a distant memory
I think I met you in a dream
It feels so real to me
It feels so real to me

“I Think I Met You In A Dream” is the ‘90s-inspired third single off of COIN’s fourth album. The song came to frontman Chase Lawrence in a dream, where he imagined writing it with producer Julian Bunetta. He later went on to describe it as both his favorite song he’s ever written and his favorite release of COIN’s. “I Think I Met You In A Dream” was first teased on December 26, 2021 when Chase revealed the song title in a tweet. The band officially announced its release the day before it dropped. In a tweet posted on the day of the song’s release, lead singer Chase Lawerence expressed his love for “I Think I Met You In A Dream” saying: "I love ‘met you in a dream’ so much because it doesn’t sound ‘written’ – it’s so passive & floaty but also somehow takes all of my attention"
