“Tell Em” is a song by Florida rappers Cochise and $NOT. The highly anticipated track finally released on May 28, 2021. The song blew up on TikTok, using multiple passages from the track: the “tell ‘em wassup!” part, the phrase “better turn me up,” and $NOT’s verse. Before release, this song saw a weird rollout. It was supposed to have a feature from $NOT but was later “removed” from the song by his label. This left many fans disappointed and asking for $NOT to get back on the song. After about two days of this being revealed, Cochise and $NOT revealed that it was a troll and the song would be released the next Friday. This song marks $NOT and Cochise’s first collaboration, despite having followed each other for a long time and talked to each other on live a lot. While fans were asking for a release on Cochise’s new project, BENBOW CRESCENT, Cochise said that this would not be released on BENBOW CRESCENT but would see a release in the future.
