Anberlin - The Feel Good Drag

"I'm here for you" she said
And we can stay for a while
My boyfriend's gone
We can just pretend
Lips that need no introduction
Now who's the greater sin
Your drab eyes sem to invite
(Now tell me darling)
Where do we begin?

Was this over before
Before it ever began?
Your kiss, your calls, your crutch
Like the devil's got your hands
This was over before
Before it ever began
Your lips, your lies, your lust
Like the devil's in your hands

Everyone in this town
Is seeing somebody else
Everybody's tired of someone
Our eyes wander for help
Prayers that need no answer now
I'm tired of who I am
You were my greatest mistake
I fell in love with your sin
Your littlest sin

Was this over before
Before it ever began?
Your kiss, your calls, your crutch
Like the devil's got your hands
This was over before
Before it ever began
Your lips, your lies, your lust
Like the devil's in your hands

Failure is your disease
You want my outline drawn
You are my greatest failure
Discourse your saving song

Was this over before
Before it ever began?
Your kiss, your calls, your crutch
Like the devil's got your hands
This was over before
Before it ever began
Your lips, your lies, your lust
Like the devil's in your hands

Was this over before
Before it ever began?
Your kiss, your calls, your crutch
Like the devil's got your hands
This was over before
Before it ever began
Your lips, your lies, your lust
Like the devil's in your hands

"The Feel Good Drag" is a song by American alternative rock band Anberlin. The song originally appeared on the band's 2005 album Never Take Friendship Personal. It was re-recorded for their fourth album, New Surrender and re-titled "Feel Good Drag," becoming the first single from that album in 2008. "When you know you shouldn’t be in the relationship get out, even though it may be comfortable the end result will be the same (pain.) that was me, i stayed because it was easy, it wasn’t the right thing to do. in the end i walked away with regrets, failure, and broken friendships. The title was suggested by our friend Nick Pollice." - Stephen Christian
