Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung

Dance Hall Days

Points On The Curve
80s new wave pop dance Wang Chung

"Dance Hall Days" is a song by English band Wang Chung, released as a single in 1984. It was the band's only single to make the Top 75 charts in the UK, narrowly missing the Top 20. In the US, it peaked at number 16 on the Hot 100 and went all the way to number one on the Dance/Disco chart, their highest showing on the latest chart.

Wang Chung is a British new wave musical group. Originally called Huang Chung which is Chinese for "perfect pitch" (though they later claimed it was the sound a guitar made on American Bandstand), the band formed in 1979. The lineup consisted of vocalist/guitarist Jack Hues, bassist Nick Feldman, saxophonist David Burnand a.k.a "Hogg" and drummer Darren Costin. Their self-titled debut was released by Arista Records in 1982 after several singles, including the minor post-punk hit "Isn't It About Time We Were On TV". Show more ...

Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung

Take your baby by the hand and make her do a high hand stand

And take your baby by the heel and do the next thing that you feel.
We were so in phase in our dance hall days
We were cool on craze.
When I
You and everyone we knew could believe

Do and share in what was true.
Oh
I said: Dance hall days
Love.
Take your baby by the hair and puu. Her close and there there there

And take your baby by the ears and play upon her darkest fears.
We were so in phase in our dance hall days
We were cool on craze. .. .
Dance hall days
Dance hall days
Love.
Take your baby by the wrist and in her mouth an amethyst

And in her eyes two saphires blue
And you need her
And she needs you.
And you need her
And she needs you

And you need her
And she needs you
.. .
We were so in phase in our dance hau. Days
We were cool on craze. .. .
Danee hall days
Love
Dance hall days

Dance hall days
Love
Dance hall days
.. .
