This was the third of four singles that were released from the Jacksons' 1980 album "Triumph." Of these, it reached the lowest Billboard Hot 100 position (#77); however, it has since become by far the most well-known and popular song from the album. Most recently, it was associated en masse with Barack Obama's presidential campaign via radio, YouTube, and mash-ups; it became something of an unofficial campaign song in the Chicago area. It has a long-form video whose special effects are extremely advanced for the time. The video was voted one of the best 100 of all time in MTV's 20th-anniversary poll.


The Jacksons (formerly known as The Jackson 5, The Jackson Five, The Jackson 5ive or abbreviated as J5) was an American popular music quintet from Gary, Indiana, USA. The group, active from 1964 to 1990, regularly played from a repertoire of R&B, soul, funk, and later disco. Considered "one of the biggest phenomenons in pop music" during the early 1970s, the Jackson 5 are also notable for launching the career of their lead singer, Michael Jackson. Show more ...
