Silence Kit

Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
indie rock Lo-Fi indie alternative 90s

The original packaging for Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain has the title of this song clearly written as “Silence Kid” in the handwritten track list on the back of the album booklet, but due to a smudge on the back tray liner, the title looks like “Silence Kit”. In Stephen’s handwritten commentary for the album in Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain: L.A.'s Desert Origins, he has the title clearly written as “Silence Kid”, and the album booklet also refers to the song as “Silence Kid” several times, but the back cover has it written as “Silence Kit”. Malkmus has also apparently written it as “Silence Kit” in more recent set lists. In the song itself, he clearly sings “Silent kid”.
