After the UK beauty and pharmacy retailer Boots used this song as the soundtrack to a Christmas TV commercial, it was re-released as a single in the UK in December 2007. Having failed to chart first time around in 1970, this time it reached #43. In October 2008, after originally turning down sampling the song in 2005, UK girl group the Sugababes recorded the song after it had been popularised by the Boots campaign. Ernest Kador, Jr. (Feb 22, 1936 - July 5, 2001) was known as Ernie K-Doe, a colorful performer, who became the first artist from New Orleans to have a national charting #1 hit actually recorded in New Orleans (Mother-In-Law,#1 Pop, #1 R&B 1961).
