Stable Song - Death Cab for Cutie

Stable Song

Plans
indie alternative indie rock Mellow death cab for cutie

This song is the closing track to Death Cab for Cutie's 2005 major label debut, Plans. It first appeared under the name "Stability" as a bonus track on the Japanese release of their 2001 album The Photo Album and later on The Stability EP. This version is shorter than the original thirteen-minute, mostly instrumental version found on The Stability EP, ending when the vocals end.

Death Cab for Cutie is an American indie rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997. The band consists of Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, piano), Nicholas Harmer (bass), Jason McGerr (drums), Dave Depper (guitar) and Zac Rae (keyboards). Death Cab began as a solo project of Ben Gibbard, now the band's vocalist and guitarist. Gibbard took the band name from the satirical song Death Cab for Cutie, performed by The Bonzo Dog Band in The Beatles' 1967 experimental film Magical Mystery Tour. Show more ...

Stable Song - Death Cab for Cutie

Time for the final bout.
Rows of deserted houses..
All our stable mates are highway bound.
Give us our measly sum:
Getting the air inside my lungs is heavenly.
We're starting out with nothing but crippling doubt.

We'll rest easy (justified).
I've suffered a swift defeat.
I'll endure countless repeats.
The gift of memory is an awful curse,
With age it just gets much worse,
But I won't mind.

I won't mind..
I won't mind..
I won't mind..
