Bad Company - Bad Company

Bad Company

Bad Company
classic rock rock 70s hard rock Supernatural

"Bad Company" is a song by the British hard rock band Bad Company. It was released as the third single from their debut album Bad Company in 1974, although it did not chart (in America). Co-written by the group's lead singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, the song's meaning comes from a book on Victorian morals. The song uses the same chords and piano figure as Joni Mitchell's song "Woodstock" from 1970. Rodgers told Spinner that he decided to go with a song with same name as the band as, "I think because it had never really been done, as far as I knew. I thought it was interesting to come out as a brand-new band with its own theme song." (Source Bad Company Songfacts).

(Not to be confused with Bad Company UK, the 1990s/2000s drum-and-bass DJ team. If you are here because of them, please fix your artist tags.) Bad Company was a 1970s British blues-rock group fronted by Paul "The Voice" Rodgers. Their name came from a ‘70s Western movie and they were formed by former members of Mott the Hoople, Free, and King Crimson. Bad Company - Bad Company

A company,
Always on the run.
A destiny,
Towards the rising sun.
I was born six-gun in my hand,
Behind a gun, I'll make my final stand.
That's why they call me...
Bad Company. I can't deny,
Bad Company, until the day I die. until the day I die. until the day I die...

Rebel souls. Deserters we've been called,
Chose a gun and threw away the sun.
Now these towns, they all know our name.
Six gun sound is our claim to fame.
I can hear them say...
Bad Company, and I won't deny.
Bad. Bad Company, until the day I die. until the day I die...

Hey hey, Bad Company, I can't deny...
Bad Company, until the day I die.
It's Bad Company. Oh yeah yeah.
Bad Company, till the day I die.

(Subdued vocal during the outro lead)
Till the day I die Oh Yeah Tell me that you are not a thief
Oh But I am
Bad Company
It's the way I play
Dirty for dirty
Oh Somebody Double-crossed me
We're Bad company
Kill in cold blood
